The Abakira Code.
Six rules. Every Abakira app follows all of them, or it does not ship. They are written to be checked — if we ever break one, you will be able to point at this page.
1. We show you the limits before you install.
Every app has a ceiling. A platform rule, a theme it cannot support, or something the API just will not do. Most listings hide the ceiling. Ours state it, and where we can, the app measures it on your own store before you count on the result.
2. Your buyers never see false information.
Real discounts, real deadlines, real stock. No invented urgency, and no countdown that quietly restarts when the buyer reloads the page. Your buyers' trust in your store is not ours to spend.
3. No surprise bills.
You always know what you will pay before you pay it. When an app has a usage limit, it warns you at 50, 70, 90 and 100 percent of it, in the admin and by email, while you can still do something about it. No silent plan upgrade, and no charge you discover on the invoice.
4. If our prices change, you keep your terms.
The plan you installed on is the plan you keep. A price increase or a smaller quota applies to people installing after it, never to you.
5. We collect the minimum, and we never sell your data.
We store what the app needs to work and nothing else. No buyer profiles, no resale, and no exception clause further down the page. Every app answers Shopify's three privacy webhooks and documents exactly what it keeps, on its own privacy page.
6. Your requests reach the people who build.
Support is not a wall of scripts. Feature requests and bug reports land with the people writing the code, and things that should be fixed get fixed in the code, not in a macro.
These are constraints we accept on purpose, because the apps we like using are built this way. If you believe an Abakira app has broken one of them, write to support@abakira.com and point at the rule. You will get an answer from someone who can actually change the code.
